Planting Trees, Honouring Legacies: AJC’s Commitment to Giving Back

At AJC, collaboration and trust are at the heart of everything we do. These values not only shape how we work with our clients but also guide how we give back – to our community and the environment.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are proud to announce a new initiative: from 2024 onwards, AJC will plant multiple trees for every contract we secure. This ensures that our success as a business also contributes to a greener planet.

Remembering Peter Jolly with Every Tree Planted

Following a successful 2024, we are marking the start of this initiative with the approval of 500 trees in a dedicated woodland. This first planting has been made in memory of Peter Jolly, father of AJC’s founder, Adrian Jolly.

Adrian reflects on the significance of this dedication:

“Two years ago, I lost my dad while forging new business partnerships in Turkey. He was my absolute hero, and quite frankly, the world just hasn’t been the same since. My dad was a man of principles and integrity – values I strive to uphold in my life and in AJC. Dedicating these trees to him is a way of honouring his legacy, ensuring something positive and lasting grows in his name.”

Creating the AJC Forest in Wenhaston, Suffolk

Our trees will be planted at Church Field in Wenhaston, Suffolk, a new 4.5-acre community woodland established by Blyth Woods. The site will transform former arable land into a thriving mix of woodland and meadow, complete with a pond and a tree nursery managed with the support of the local primary school.

By supporting this initiative, we are helping to:

• Enhance biodiversity by creating habitats and food sources for wildlife.
• Absorb carbon dioxide, reducing our environmental impact.
• Improve the local environment, supporting cleaner air and healthier soil.

Each tree planted can absorb up to half a tonne of carbon dioxide over its lifetime, providing lasting benefits for the planet and future generations.

This initiative reflects the values that drive AJC – collaboration, trust, and a commitment to doing the right thing. By investing in sustainability, we’re not only helping to protect the environment but also reinforcing the trusted partnerships that define our business.
