Read MoreThis year marks the fourth consecutive year of AJC’s sponsorship of the event, reflecting a long-standing partnership built on shared values and a commitment to supporting wellbeing, connection and access to nature across Essex.
AJC’s partnership with Wilderness Foundation UK supports the charity’s work helping local people connect with nature and improve wellbeing. Through its Wilderness Programmes delivered across Essex, the Foundation protects wild places while supporting the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people and adults through outdoor-based therapy and nature connection.
By sponsoring the charity golf day, AJC helps cover the running costs of the event so that more of the money raised goes directly into the Foundation’s programmes, maximising the benefit for those who rely on this vital support.
Over the years, the event has continued to grow. The 2026 golf day will be bigger than ever, with more teams taking part, helping to raise greater awareness of the Foundation’s work and generate increased support for its community programmes.
The Foundation’s work across Essex includes:
Funding frontline programmes that benefit communities across the county
Opening access to nature for local schools and community groups
Raising awareness and involvement through sponsored events
Together, these initiatives help ensure that nature remains protected and accessible, while delivering meaningful, long-term benefits for local people.
The AJC-supported charity golf day takes place on Monday 29th June 2026 at Braintree Golf Club, bringing together golfers, supporters and local organisations for a full day in support of the Foundation’s work.
For just £80 per person, the day includes:
Sandwiches and coffee
18 holes of golf
A two course dinner
Prizes and a raffle
A silent auction of fourballs at various Essex golf courses
(A discount is available to Club Members.)
